While at Cranbook Academy in the late 1930s, Ralph Rapson took advantage of the school’s open studio system to experiment with furniture design using plywood, metal, and fabrics—often with the likes of Harry Bertoia, Charles Eames, and Eero Saarinen. Nearly 80 years later, Ralph's drawings during his student days come to life with the Rapson Thirty-Nine Collection—a collaboration with Leland International.
